Privacy Notice

I respect your privacy and take the confidentiality and security of your personal information seriously.

When you contact BodyTalk Therapy, I may collect your name and contact details, together with information you choose to provide about why you are seeking therapy. If you become a client, I will also process information necessary to provide therapy and maintain appropriate professional records, which may include health information.

I use your information to:

  • respond to enquiries and arrange consultations;

  • provide and manage therapy;

  • communicate with you about appointments;

  • maintain appropriate therapy and administrative records;

  • manage payments and other administration;

  • maintain your safety and respond appropriately to emergencies or safeguarding concerns; and

  • meet legal, professional and regulatory requirements.

Your information is stored securely using appropriate systems, including Google Workspace/Drive/Gmail. Online therapy is provided using Google Meet. Ordinary individual therapy sessions are not recorded.

Confidentiality is an important part of therapy, but it is not absolute. There are limited circumstances in which I may need to share information, such as where there is a serious risk of harm, a safeguarding concern, a legal requirement to disclose information, or where sharing is necessary to protect someone's vital interests. Where possible, I will discuss this with you first.

My website is hosted by Wix and currently uses essential cookies only. CookieYes is used to manage the website's cookie information and consent mechanism. I do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Tag Manager or other third-party advertising/analytics tracking.

You have rights in relation to your personal information, including rights to request access and correction and, in certain circumstances, deletion or restriction of processing. More information about these rights, retention periods, lawful bases and how information is shared is contained in my full Privacy Notice (available on request).
